President's Message, August 2008

Dear Fellow Members,

It is hard to believe that it is almost August already. Where did the summer go, before we know it, it will be time to rake the leaves and winterize our M’s!  I do know where a good part of my summer went this year, in preparation for 2 great meets! I have already posted how much I enjoyed Indy.  I hope more people can make it next year!  Carlisle was a huge success once again!  It is a great way to make new friendships and catch up on others.  I wish to thank everyone who attended.  As you all are aware, our club tent was given the honor of being the coolest club hang out!  It is due to our wonderful membership and hard work from many members that made that possible!

There is one more opportunity to attend a 300M meet this summer, DClabs is hosting a Canadian meet, click here for details. Sure sounds like yet another wonderful meet! Beautiful country side, beautiful cars…wonderful friends, what more could anyone want?

I urge you to try to make a meet or a mini meet at some point. They are truly a wonderful way to spend some vacation time!

I want to make the membership aware; we know there has been a lot of trouble accessing the 300M club site recently. We are working hard to correct that problem. We are confident this situation will be corrected soon. I apologize if you have been affected. Please know we are trying to get this resolved as soon as possible.

I would also like to point out that a member has stepped up to help with the various updates to the website. This member is currently working on the full plan for both the Main Website and the Forum and will present his plan to the Board of Directors in the next few weeks. In the meantime there have been a few minor changes to the home page and more are on the way in the next few days. Nothing very drastic will be done until we get the new plan into the implementation stage. We sure wouldn’t want to make all sorts of changes only to decide later the change wasn’t needed because it doesn’t fit the new look of the website. I know you all have heard this for years but please be patient just a little while longer. You will enjoy the changes.

Have a great rest of the summer!

Thank you very much.

Respectfully,
