If I were to purchase the special's exhaust system from a salvage yard...would it be a direct fit, no modifications? Other than having to shave a spot for the extra tip in the bumper.

I'm sure this has been asked before, I apologize if my search skills have failed me again :)

THANKS!

It will work, but why do you want to put a used exhaust on your car

Want the dual exhaust, but not really interested in piecing one together...not sure how that would effect the warranty.

How do you still have a warranty?

Used car warranty most likely

Yes it is a used car warranty. I purchased the car (1 owner) at 62k and got a 3 year bumper to bumper warranty since I've had many LH cars and nothing but problems.

BUT I KEEP COMING BACK FOR MORE! :)

How long do 300M exhaust systems usually last?

I've got 103,000 miles on mine and it seems to be in good shape.

I guess it depends on whether the car is exposed to winter/snow or not.

Very true. If you have snow, that usually means you're in a harsher climate it seems. The worst rust I've seen is most cars on the East Coast right by the ocean... mainly the Carolinas. The next up? Minneapolis/Saint Paul area. I live in Minnesota, so you get where that puts me?

Yah, bought the car with a nice sized whole in the rear resonator (?). It's the one that sits sideways under the trunk. Besides that it looks okay at least to my eyes... piping is intact at least. No other holes I can spot.

I'm in Ohio, so we deifinitely get snow and they salt the roads.

Should I expect exhaust issues soon?

Thanks, Ron

My car has 135,000 on it and I'm just now getting some harmful rust on my OEM exhaust setup. I live in PA so snow and salt are quite bad. But my resonator has a hole or three in it lol and it sounds a little airy at idle. I'm also going to be putting in a Special exhaust to replace this one. The resonators on it look to be almost brand new :D
