So today on the drive back it jolted , like when a cam sensor goes bad .
Got home read the codes and replaced the cam with a used cam sensor i had, that still had the paper too. but no go still long cranks and the two codes.
Also shows P1289 now. Cruise control works just fine .

What phases me is the P0012 , which hasn't popped up before......wiring , and if so where.....all looks good, from the top?

Hard to keep up with which car you are referring to LOL.
P0012 & P0340 are both Cam Timing Codes as you are well aware. After sensor swap and still having codes I would look at timing marks to be sure nothing has gone wrong there. Kind of a PITA but knowing what happens I would look epically with the long crank issue.

It's the 2001 LHS, so timing and that whole mess has just been recently done .....
I don't have the special if you remember, and the base has been sidelined , my dad has been using it here and there. Have not had a chance to take a day off to see about getting a rebuilt title for the Honda even though I put it toghether just before i hurt my back ..

Gonna order new sensors and one of these Sundays peek at the timing. The funny thing it had been running well very slight shake at idle and none after warming up. Even now after warm up it is not bad....Rock auto has both mopar sensors for about 100$ not A bad deal....just to be sure before i open it up again.

Also to note, when i replaced the camshaft sensor the other night (the one in there was a new one i installed when the timing belt broke in the summer thinking the sensor was bad before i checked the belt) , the sensor had half of the paper rubbed off and what seemed like rust where it rubbed of??? Weird right....

All the parts installed where new, mentioned it in the LHS car post (belt, water pump, tensioner, pulley) etc ...

There is a short somewhere....the is no voltage on the one that is supposed to have 5v on (compared to my base)..... Should have checked that first before i even messed with switching the sensor but....
