As Ryan said, the area where the wood is, is part of the speedometer bezel. If you have the faux wood interior (not the burlwood), then it's all one piece. The carbon fiber interiors use the same plastic trim piece, with the faux carbon design printed instead of the faux wood design. If you have the real wood interior (burlwood, with wood steering wheel), then that is a separate wood piece that is attached by nuts to the plastic trim piece.
If you have a real wood interior, then all you would need is the plastic trim if you don't need the wood applique as well. If you have the faux wood or faux carbon interior, then you're getting the whole thing no matter what, as it's all molded together.
