hi guys,

on 08-25 up to the 08-27-2006, 11 german 300M enthusiasts with their families made the first 300M meeting in germany. ok it was just a mini meet but for german conditions it was a big meeting :headbang

they came from the south (near Munich) and the north (Hamburg) and we met us in the middle of Germany in a small village called Stolberg in the Harz mountains.

nice people and nice cars. but the weather was (CENSORED).

if you click here you could see some photos from our cars.

Wow, that's very cool. It's always great to see a group of members get together to hang out for a day. Also, those pictures are great. I'm sure there are a few shots in there which may end up on the calendar.

it was a great feeling to be on a race track. ok it was just a kart track. but hey - that doesn't matter.

I also think the brake light pattern their tails use is different (I could be wrong, I have a 99 with the non-jewel :-():

Fossy,

That is really cool. Great pictures too!!

If you had let the Club know in advance (and if the majority of those attending were dues paid 300M Enthusiasts Club members) we could have happily provided you with some funds for trophies, food, etc. That's one of the things the Club does. Living in the USA is NOT a requirement. Keep that in mind in the future.

You had more 300M owners attending than many of the stateside meets we've had.

I am absolutely blown away, with excited chills running up and down my spine! Except for the different road signs and old buildings in the background, that could have been any of our meets, and I LOVE it! A bunch of like-minded enthusiasts driving their favored machines to hang out together. It doesn't get any better than that. :gulp :huddle :notworthy

Pictures number 33 and 34 are so impressive I don't know what to say! :lick

Glad you all had a great time! Really do wish we had known in advance so we could have provided you some support.

BrandiniMan, the Euro-spec standard engine was the DOHC 2.7L, not available in the US in an M, only in LH Intrepids and Concordes as the base motor. Europe heavily taxes larger displacement engines.

All those M's really look great on the starting grid. Wish mine could have been one of them.

BTW, what was that dessert? WOW!

Oh yeah! I don't know what they call it, but it sure looks like what we call blackberry cobbler.

I have heard of "Death by Chocolate" at Bennigans and other places, but I have to say, you would have ended up burying me right after I attacked one of those humongous desserts. Man they looked great. The pics of the meet are outstanding, you guys are commended for doing such a great job. From one who has run meets in the past, my hat is off to you.

hey guys

thank you all for your positive feedback. :notworthy
it feels good to see that other people in the world like our cars too.

the food in picture 33+34 is called in germany "Windbeutel" word by word translation would be "wind bag". this is a really huge sweet and candy thing. you can eat it with a lot of cream, ice cream or fruits. it taste very good but has a lot of calories.

Hey fossy.........the pictures are great. I commend you on putting a meet together. I have been just trying to get other 300M owners where I live to do something just like it. But I can't get them interested.

I have left numerous cards on the windshields of other 300M's, but I have yet to come across anyone on the forum from my area. I have wanted to go to a meet since I found the club, but I live about 2,000 miles from the closest one. I guess I will just have to fly to one and see what it is all about.

Thanks again for showing us your pictures.......

Fossy-- Had I known of this meet well before hand, I might have sent some 300M street signs, although the postage and duty might have been prohibitive. We were talking about that over some beers at KC. I liked "300M Ach Du Lieber" or "300M Schussboomer". Not sure if the spelling is right or the phrase is appropriate but those came to mind.

I agree! Looks awesome!

The pics are great, very cool to see euro M's crusing along and on the starting line. I kinda like the Chrysler pentastar on the trunk too.
