OK Don. I just booked for Friday and Saturday and they knew what was going on and gave me the prescribed rate. See you guys on Friday unless I decide to come a day earlier, depending on what the program is. 8)

Now we need someone to do a tentative agenda so we can figure out whether to try to arrive Thursday or Friday. I'm booked for Friday but if the mansion/estate tour is for Friday I will come a day earlier to make that. 8)

Hey Mike.

Geezer requested and recieved a brochure of things to do in the area some time ago. Geezer, clue us in on whatever you found that you think everyone might like besides the things Don listed on page 6.

Don posted a list on page 6 of the original Mountain Meet post with links to explore the various possibilites. Don, there are a lot! What do you recommend?

Jonathan, did we ever decide which day we'll do Biltmore?

I recommend everyone who CAN arrive Thursday night should. I recommend that we brainstorm how to fill these slots. This is more as a space to put ideas than a suggestion.

Friday afternoon
Tour of Biltmore.

Friday Evening
Dinner (Where? plus?)

Saturday Morning
Show and Shine w/judging (Where?)

Saturday Afternoon
Lunch then
Cruise on the Blue Ridge Parkway
Lunch along the way (Picnic?)

Saturday Evening
Cherokee for show or Casino

Sunday Morning
Breakfast and goodbyes

Quote/Reply and fill in your ideas.

Ok. I will re-set my arrival time and call the hotel for a Thursday arrival. That will make a Friday tour to wherever a more leisurely venture. 8)

OK, changed my reservation to add a Thursday arrival. Have tempted the wife to attend by showing her the brochure I got on the Biltmore Estate, but she is still concerned about the driving time, so it is going to be a hard sell.

My sign guy contacted me by email yesterday and the signs will be done next week and in the mail to me. Can't wait to get my grubby hands on them.

Also, finished the new graphics on the sides of my M. [Similar to the lettering on Kumar's avatar] Took two tries to get it right [to my liking] as I chose a color that as it turned out was just too light on the bottom half of the doors, so the "300M," although a foot high, couldn't be seen until you were about 10 feet away. The two small rally stripes higher up on the driver's side front fender were much more visible in the exact same color. Anyway, the shop solved the problem by shadowing the "300M" with a darker variant of the color [bronze metallic] that I originally chose. Looks much more visible now, though not glaringly so. I will try to get some photos shortly. Wife just shook her head. Women... 8)

So put my name on the list. Paulette @ the motel is a riot. She said she would show us around to all "THE" spots.
Shirley & I are looking foward to a great weekend.

Rick- Great, so you are bringing the wife. Maybe that fact will provide extra impetus to get my wife to come. I will increase the pressure this weekend. 8)

Here's some thoughts on activities from the Asheville brochure:

Biltmore Village Shops
Wheels Through Time Museum
Brevard Music Festival
Great Smokey Mountains R.R. (4-7 hours)
Asheville Trolly Tours.

So far, I lke Don's leisurely agenda.
I'm sure we'll find lots of extra stuff as we go.
